Issue:

When using the Citrix Access Management Console to publish an application you are unable to browse to the correct folder because the list of available folders is in complete.

Cause:

The required permissions needed to browse the folder structure have been removed.  Also, the permissions needed do not come from the logged in user running the Citrix Access Management Console.  Instead, by default, the permissions are granted via the Citrix Independent Management Architecture Service running under the Network Service account.

Solution:

Method 1

You may type in the full path to the file in the Command Line text field and the application will launch properly.  The permissions required only affect an Administrator’s ability to browse to and view the folder and its contents; it does not affect the user’s ability to launch the application.

Method 2

Grant the Network Service account permissions to Read the directory structure and all files.

Method 3

Grant the Authenticated Users group permissions to Read the directory structure and all files.  Authenticated Users includes the Network Service account.

Method 4

Grant the Everyone group permissions to Read the directory structure and all files.  Everyone includes the Network Service account.
