System Events on the Citrix Web Interface Server

Event ID: 10009

Source: DCOM

Description:

DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer SERVERNAME using any of the configured protocols.

Cause:

The one or more of the Citrix servers the web interface uses to receive configuration information from have been taken offline or are unavailable.  Some of the possible causes of this are

  • The network is down or a NIC on one of the servers has failed.
  • The Citrix Server(s) specified by SERVERNAME are not responding/hung or have some other issue.
  • DNS/WINS is not working correctly.
  • The Citrix XML Service configured port (80 by default) has been changed or is in conflict with other services running on the Citrix servers.

Solution:

Fix all networking and DNS/WINS issues as needed.  To provide fault tolerance you should update the Citrix Web Interface configuration to use multiple Citrix Servers to as configuration servers.  If any Citrix Servers have been removed permanently you should update your configuration.  You should also verify that the XML port is correctly configured on all Citrix Servers as specified in the configuration options below.

Update the Mange Server Farms setting for the Web Interface
